On Your Best Day How Old Do You Feel? How much discomfort or pain do you have and what are the medications you are taking?

Do you wake up thinking clearly or do you have brain fog? As we get older, we tend to blame aging for weight gain, chronic pain, less energy, decreased mental capacity, shortness of breath, being on multiple medications and so on.

I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be this way. We CAN have energy, think clearly and feel great all the way to the end! And I'm living proof! I'm not just saying this. I am living this with you.

If you are ready for positive changes in your health, then join RN, licensed massage therapist and healthy aging coach, Betty Greaver, as she shares with you her 7 Pillars of Health. She will be teaching how you can plan for the rest of your life, having energy, less discomfort and pain, experiencing better sleep, and improved mental clarity.

You will learn:

  • Which foods increase your energy and reduce your weight so you can increase your daily activities

  • How to intentionally support healthy brain function

  • How to decrease general physical pain

  • How to put more fun back into your life!

We will evaluate strategies for healthy aging including whole food nutrition, movement, relaxation/meditation and restorative sleep. We will explore how lifestyle and nutrition can help you age gracefully and healthfully.

Fee: $10.00 per person. Must pre-register.

A Taste of Yoga: Yoga Nidra with Singing Bowl Therapy

Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) is a meditation practice in which we learn to relax on every level of our being, thus releasing blocks and tension from our unconscious minds. During Yoga Nidra, we use affirmation, body sensing, gentle breath sensing, as well as proactively engaging with sensations, emotions, cognition & well being. This class is sacred and introspective, with plenty of time to breathe, feel, and welcome the pause between stimulus and response as we grow our ability to meet life with resilience. Adriena enhances this meditation experience using crystal singing bowls, which can create emotional release, energy/chakra clearning and balancing, heighten clarity, hone intuition and more.

About the Instructor: Adriena Dame helps people reduce mental and physical stress, strain and pain, and elevate their overall quality of life using an array of compassion-centered tools. From massage, bodywork, energy medicine, yoga and integrated therapies to intuitive guidance, teaching, coaching, magic making, and motivational speaking, Adriena is seasoned in the mystical art of serving humanity.

It is from a foundation of holism, joy, humility, compassion, curiosity, and an abiding appreciation for our individual humanness and energetic oneness that Adriena teaches all subjects within her scope of practice. Additionally, she understands that when we awaken to the abundance of our higher-dimensional consciousness and allow it to infiltrate the limiting beliefs that are rooted in the subconscious dimension of our human experience, we enter into a spaciousness of being that is pure peace. Freedom. Bliss. Love. And more love.

A Taste of Yoga: Sunday Strength and Slow Flow

A Taste of Yoga: Sunday Strength and Slow Flow

Slow Flow teaches us to move with intention. Whether you are a new student or have been practicing for a while, there may be a tendency to move in it and out of Vinyasa postures too quickly, which can create a sloppy form and lead to injury. Slow Flow allows you to drop into the integrity of the pose, giving you time to breath, stretch and adjust your body in each posture. The practitioner has time to evaluate how a pose should be modified, and also time to mentally engage with the body. Slow flow bridges the mind body connection – it creates a reflective practice and a time to go inward and build strength.

About the Instructor: Elizabeth has background in Education and Humanities with concentrations in Spanish and Religious Studies. She is a mother, Certified yoga teacher, Fascial Stretch Therapist, HANDLE® Screener, and Functional Medicine Health coach with an unbeatable passion and a unique approach to teaching — one that is inspirational and embodies the physical, spiritual, and emotional aspects of well-being. Team sports were challenging for her so she found solace in walking, running, aerobics, hiking and yoga. She has been practicing yoga for 18 years and became a certified yoga instructor in 2014. Her love of the human body, mind and spirit continued to grow which led her to becoming certified in Fascial Stretch Therapy and also Reiki. The foundation of her practice combines the physical and nutritional with an inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, nutrition and meditative awareness, she strives to promote an understanding of the interdependence of all these aspects in personal health and well-being.

A Taste of Yoga: Global Flow

Global Flow is a vinyasa practice built on a foundation of intertwining philosophies, art, and rhythms from around the world. Equilibrium is essential to this practice, following the breath, and building strength as we restore. In this practice, restoration is as important as activation, so expect to build strength and elevate the heart rate, but to also release tension and calm the mind and body. This yoga flow is a journey through the senses, crossing the world through our unified consciousness in the celebration of the present moment.

About the Instructor: Shannon is a smiley yogini, learning when to fold and unfold. She became interested in yoga, in the philosophies of Buddhism and Taoism, and the practice of Qigong about 15 years ago. Yoga and meditation have been the supportive foundation of her personal healing and wellness journey. She has studied hatha, vinyasa, yin, tantra, gentle, restorative, and kundalini yoga. As a teacher, she opens space to explore, find strength, ease, and a profound connection with this ancient practice, thereby connecting deeply within. She truly believes that in order to be good with others and our environment, we must find balance within ourselves.
