Cook with a Chef: Family Friendly Cup Cake Decorating Gluten-Free, Allergy-Friendly and Vegan!

  • Rainbow Blossom Wellness Center 3608 Springhurst Boulevard Louisville, KY, 40241 United States (map)

Join Chef Martha Morgan of Allergy Dragon for a hybrid cooking class (virtually or in-person) in the demo kitchen at Rainbow Blossoms Wellness Center. In this class, you will learn several ways to decorate cupcakes for any occasion you may be celebrating. Who says Gluten-Free, Allergy-Friendly, and Vegan options for decorating have to be boring? I will teach you how to make my special non-butter buttercream-like icing. Which I get told all the time is very addicting! We will go over sprinkles, candies, and coloring for your edible masterpieces. A fun class for the whole family. You will be registered for both in-person and Virtual when you purchase your ticket. If you are participating Virtually and want a list of items needed to decorate with me; then please email me at allergydragon@gmail.com

About the Instructor:
Hi, My name is Martha I am a Specialty Diet & Allergy Chef and the creator of Allergy Dragon.
I started cooking and trained in restaurants with my first job at 16 years of age; in 2014, I switched to institutional food services in a health care setting and created Allergy Dragon officially in 2019. I have now been cooking professionally for a total of 28 years.

In 2003 I became a reluctant food allergy chef due to my youngest child’s 1st anaphylactic reaction at 9 months old to strawberries, and their allergy list has now grown to 33 food allergies. Finally, in 2009, I became a self-taught gluten-free chef due to my and my children’s Celiac disease diagnoses.

Recently, I have had the pleasure of presenting at many local events. One such occasion where I spoke about our journey with food allergies and celiac disease and ended with a cooking demo was at LAND. LAND stands for Louisville Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for Local RDNs. I am also excited to announce I am part of the Community Advisory Board at CFAAR, the Center for Food Allergy and Asthma Research which is part of Northwestern Medicine Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

I made it one of my missions to advocate for Food Allergies and Celiac disease and share my belief that everyone deserves to eat delicious food. Therefore, I Created Allergy Dragon to help bridge the gap between safe and delicious food. I can provide company and individual consulting for all things in the Kitchen through Allergy Dragon.

$7.50. You can either attend this class in-person at our Springhurst Wellness Center (3608 Springhurst Blvd) or via Zoom. To register for this class, click here.
