A Taste of Yoga: Lotus Flow

Class Description: Lotus Flow is the adventurous, signature Vinyasa flow developed by internationally renowned Dana Flynn. Lotus flow is known for its creative sequencing, incorporation of yogic philosophy, mantra and pranayama. Lotus flow take simple sequencing that will build and become more complex, but also allows freedom of movement to find your own expression! Connect to your inner diva or goodness as you dance into arm balances and challenging poses, while moving to a fun playlist. (60 minutes)

Instructor Bio: Lee Schardein has a background in dance, and through Vinyasa Flow discovered a healing way to pair breath and movement into a dancing, moving meditation. Lee completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Yogaia in Louisville, KY in 2015, after practicing various styles of yoga for over a decade. Lee is now an experienced yoga teacher, with over a 1,000 teaching hours. She received her 300-hour certification in 2019 with Laughing Lotus in NYC, where she was trained in their signature Lotus Flow. Lee travelled with Laughing Lotus to Rishikesh, India in February 2018 and 2019. She is currently co-leading a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Maha Vira Yoga in Louisville, KY. Yoga and meditation have become Lee’s primary source of self-care, and she encourages her students to find a consistent practice to balance stressors and improve their overall wellbeing. She inspires students to take the lessons learned on the mat into their daily lives. During Lee’s class be prepared to smile, sweat, hear a great playlist, and leave feeling a little lighter. Lee weaves mudras, mantra, Hindu mythology and chakra work into her yoga practice and classes. Lee teaches weekly classes at the Inner Warrior, Bend and Zen Hot Yoga and Yoga on Baxter. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor and has been working with individuals, children and adolescents in the community mental health field for over 9 years. Lee currently works at a holistic private practice, Bridge Counseling and Wellness. Lee is the proud mama of two pugs.
