Exploring Yoga Nidra and Essential Oils for Self Growth and Healing

In this half-instructive, half-experiential workshop lead by Laura Johnson, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist and 200hr RYT, you will learn about Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep. Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while we remain awake/conscious. It is said that one hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep! The practice of Yoga Nidra can help reduce stress and symptoms of anxiety and depression. There is also research that suggests it is helpful in treating trauma (PTSD). Blending this practice with essentials oils helps to deepen the practice. Certain compounds in the oils help stimulate the release of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine, which all play a role in mental wellbeing. Learn how to combine your Nidra with the best oils to achieve your optimal wellness.
