Hatha Flow (with Vinyasa influence) focuses on the specific manner in which you flow from one posture to the next with the breath, while maintaining the flow of energy. It encourages focus and balance in order to gain flexibility, increase endurance and muscle resistance. This class is recommended for students who want to deepen their practice and increase their strength.
As Founder and Director of Your Yoga, Jessi is an Instructor, yoga practitioner, and constant student. She is dedicated to living and teaching a yogic lifestyle, including a non-harming, non-violent vegan culture. Jessi views yoga as a lifestyle that promotes self-healing, peace toward yourself and others, mindfulness and self-observance, and hopes to inspire others to discover how yoga can alter their life in a positive manner. Jessi began practicing yoga 9 years ago in Chicago. As an athlete, she viewed yoga as a new “exercise” that would improve her dexterity in sports and help relieve sports-related pain and injuries. After continuing to practice on a regular basis, Jessi realized that yoga is so much more than just another exercise and she wanted to share it with others. While in Chicago, she began exploring ways to become an instructor. After getting married and traveling abroad, she ended back in her home town of Louisville. The focus on becoming a yoga instructor was her main goal. Jessi has pursued her yoga dream and received her 200-hour teaching certificate with Shelli Carpenter, Director of Eternal Health Yoga. Jessi is currently working toward her 500-hour certification. Jessi is a Louisville native, graduating from Assumption High School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and a Double Minor in Marketing & Communications from Bellarmine University. Jessi is an experienced, registered Yoga instructor with the Yoga Alliance.
